Eastern Regional Leadership Conference & Western Regional Leadership Conference

 

These regional conferences are open to all affiliated HOSA members for the current academic year.  We also welcome up to five representatives from new potential chapters for a discounted registration rate with approval from the State Advisor.  

 

The dates of these events will vary based on venue availability. These will typically occur in October/November.  Registration will open 4-8 weeks ahead of time 

 

The dress code for this conference is business professional. Since this conference hosts competitive events, competitors need to follow the HOSA dress code that is specified in the guidelines.  A poster is available here: HOSA Dress Code Poster.pdf  

• Members should consider footwear carefully as they will be on their feet or walking a lot of the day. 

 

The primary purpose of these conferences is to host selected regional qualifier events. For the 2026-2027 year these events will be: Biotechnology, CPR/First Aid, Health Career Display, Nursing Assisting, and Phlebotomy.  For a competitor to compete in these events at the State Leadership Conference (SLC), they must compete at the regional level and qualify to compete at the SLC.  Competitors will complete both rounds (test & skill) on site.  There will be no digital uploads and testing will be conducted on site (not online ahead of time). 

• Chapters/competitors can choose the date/location that works best for their schedule.  

• When moving on to state, qualifiers will still complete all aspects of events (online testing, digital uploads, skills, etc.). 

• The regional conferences will be held within two weeks of each other. There will not be an awards ceremony on site at the conference.  There will be a virtual awards ceremony a few days after the conclusion of both regional conferences.  

 

This conference will also offer workshops/sessions and other activities as well.

 

Registration fees are set per conference to allow for the cheapest registration possible for members.  This conference is currently estimated to have an approximate $20-25 registration.

 

Lunch will be provided as part of the registration fee. HOSA swag items may be provided (or available to be won) at this event. 

 

Options and activities for this workshop can include dietary restrictions, late fee, potential clothing items/sizes, leadership role/title, etc.
